Amazing boat sail


Amazing sail through national water way-3. The west coast canal of  “Gods own Country” (Kerala) in India.

 Kollam to Alleppey Boat sail is organized by the Kerala State Water Transport Department. The journey gives the natural beauty of Ashtamudi lake,  Kayamkulam lake and  the Pampa river.



 STARTING TIME & PLACE :  Every day at 10:30 Am from Kollam boat jetty (nearest to K.S.R.T.C. bus stand)  and Alappuzha boat jetty (near K.S.R.T.C. bus stand) 

REMEMBER: 1st June to 31st August is off season.

   Amrithapuri

Amrithapuri is the place where the Ashramam (Monastery) of  Sree Matha Amrithananthamayi Devi,  who is worshipped by many devotees all over the world. Amrithapuri is a holy devine place, blessed with natural beauty where thousands reach everyday  so as to get peace and tranquility. This is the land rendering Spiritual pleasure.

 Thrikkunnapuzha

 Thrikkunnappuzha is the next location. It is a village where people makes different types of coir products traditionally. Most of the villagers are coir workers and hence the place known as coir village.


 Pallana Kumarakodi

 The place where situated a monument to Kumaranasan , one of the famous Malayalam poet and revolutionary. His life end here by the capsizing of the boat ‘Redeemer’.


 Karumadikuttan
  Karumadikkuttan is a statue of Lord Budha, made of granite, which situated on the Pampa river bank at Karumadi. Many enthralling legends told associated with Lord Budha.

Kuttanadu Paddy field
  The journey through Kuttanadu Paddy fields and the tourist huts on river side are enchanting. The amusing fact is that all these paddy field are below the water levels of lakes and canals.


 Punnamada Lake

  Punnamada kayal(lake) where the world famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race is conducted.
